WIDE RANGE OF VESSELS

New And Used Boat Dealership

The team at Boats International are excited, following an exceptional line-up at SCIBS 2021, with two Island Gypsy 400 coastal cruisers sold at show as well as the 460 twin cabin Newport on its way to Sydney.

Director Brett Flanagan, who is also known as ‘Flano’, says they are so pleased with the positive response, they have placed orders for an additional six Island Gypsy 400 models and two more Newport 460’s.

The Australian debut of the new model Focus 33 proved to be a tremendous hit, particularly with families seeking a versatile, spacious weekender.

“It felt great to be heading back to our hometown boat show,” says Flano, who, prior to relocating to Gold Coast City Marina, was based at Sanctuary Cove for over a decade. “Prior to SCIBS, we had sold all six; we’ve sold five Island Gypsy models we have in build,” he states, adding that he has 12 boats on order in total, including the latest design, the IG 50. “Two are on their way to Australia now and we will be receiving a boat a month after that. We’re also excited to be welcoming the first Island Gypsy 50 to a long-time owner. It will arrive just in time for Christmas and is full to the gunwales with all the extras for long-range cruising.”

The Island Gypsy 50 was sold sight-unseen to a previous client who owns IG 46 hull # 1. They love their 460 but now want to stretch their legs and have the ability to spend long periods “off the grid”. “It’s practically identical, but bigger,” explains Flano. “The owner loves everything about it, he just wanted a bigger engine – a QSM Cummins 660 hp diesel – gyro, water maker, the works! He and his wife plan to cruise the east coast for six months. The Island Gypsy is stable, spacious, economical and offers the bonus of extended offshore cruising.”

The reincarnation of the iconic Aussie brand, Island Gypsy motor yachts have really struck a chord with cruising couples and families. The evocative old-school brand has been reimagined with new styling, 5-star finishes and all the luxuries for a competitive price. “They’re beautiful, extremely comfortable and practical. After building 100 boats over nine years, we’ve sorted out all the issues that arose on things that deteriorate over time and break down, such as plumbing. Our vessels are plumbed like a house with PVC piping so it lasts longer and with minimal maintenance. All the plumbing is upgraded, including Vacuflush toilet systems, which equals less noise, less maintenance, less to break down. Boating should be low maintenance and pleasurable. With Island Gypsy, we have sought to minimise the cost of ownership and make boating a breeze.”

The 32nd Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show was an outstanding success across all marine-related industries. Flano, Grant Flanagan, Paul Atallah, and John Silsby are always on hand to show people over their hand-crafted boats, and can arrange sea trials at a time to suit the client.

“After a year off, we were looking forward to seeing clients, friends, and our industry colleagues. Sanctuary Cove is such a good show. The location is amazing. There’s a fantastic atmosphere and people are always in a great mood. It’s the boating hub, showcasing the coastal lifestyle and people respond to that.” Feel free to drop into our floating office and meet the team, we are located on pier H Gold Coast City Marina.

The Island Gypsy 40 is priced from $599,000 and the IG 46 from $799,000.
