Australia’s premium luxury motor yacht builder, Riviera, is preparing for an expansive showcase at the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show beginning on May 19, led by its majestic new flagship 78 Motor Yacht, as the centrepiece of Riviera’s only exhibition in Australia for 2022. The 78 is a new class of motor yacht for Riviera, delivering the perfect combination of family cruising, entertaining and blue-water passage-making capabilities, all in ultimate luxury and exceptional comfort. The Riviera exhibition at Sanctuary Cove will also feature a further world premiere yacht starring alongside a brilliant a selection of Sports Motor Yachts, Sport Yachts, SUVs and Flybridge models from across Riviera’s award-winning range from 39 to 78 feet. All the motor yachts on display will showcase Riviera’s world-class design, engineering, and handcrafted luxury. Riviera 78 Motor Yacht – World Premiere
The majestic Riviera 78 Motor Yacht design represents a new era for Riviera. The award-winning Riviera design group, in collaboration with superyacht designer Luca Vallebona, has brought a combined passion for excellence to create a truly sophisticated yacht that offers owners opportunity to personalise their yacht to reflect their individual tastes and further enhance their lifestyle. A selection of premium fabrics and finishes are found extensively throughout the interior while the superbly varnished, finely grain-matched timber can be selected in a high gloss or satin finish.
Owners have a range of options for barbecue units and lounges on both the saloon and bridge decks to configure the multiple dining, entertaining and relaxing spaces for parties, family gatherings or quieter moments. The generous and superbly equipped aft galley is positioned equally to serve guests on the aft deck or in the saloon which features a luxurious L-shape lounge to starboard and a further lounge along the port side aft of a comprehensive wet bar. A plush ottoman is placed over an elegant rug at the centre of this inviting space. An internal timber staircase leads from the port side of the main saloon to the vast bridge which also has an extended deck which offers lounge, entertaining and dining spaces. A bar is built into the aft deck and a day head is optional. The highly versatile foredeck offers a number of entertaining layouts, a Euro sun awning and the option of a davit to carry a tender or jetski.
Available with an enclosed or open bridge deck, the 78 MY includes luxurious accommodation for up to 10 adults in four luxurious staterooms plus crew quarters with external access. Power for this magnificent new motor yacht comes from twin MAN turbo diesel engines delivering up to 1,140kW (1,550hp) each. Options include twin MAN turbo diesel engines rated at 1,324kW (1,880hp) each or twin MAN turbo diesel engines rated at 1,471kW (2,00hp) each. Twin Disc joystick controls are positioned at the helm and the aft corners of the bridge deck for ease of docking.
Riviera Festival of Boating held with the Riviera showcase at Sanctuary Cove Riviera’s grand display will also host the Riviera Festival of Boating aboard a floating VIP owners lounge that will be a popular social meeting place. Riviera owners are exclusively invited to participate in a program of boating educational and training workshops, including ladies’ skippers, mastering knots lines and hitches, offshore seamanship, understanding radar, navigating at night and onboard power systems management, all designed to grow owners and their families’ boating skills so that they enjoy their ultimate boating experience with Riviera. A number of exclusive social events also form part of the festival activities, including the Riviera owners’ ladies’ luncheon, a cocktail party and a spectacular gala event.
