We have, and that’s why we developed Boat Sentry. After many years of unreliable shore power supply (or us forgetting to switch it over) resulting in ruined batteries and spoiled food & bait, we now sleep soundly knowing that if anything goes wrong while we’re away from the boat we’ll be the first to know. Boat Sentry was developed in Australia by Boaties for Boaties and after 2 years of extensive testing and on boat trials, we have found it to be an extremely reliable & cost-effective solution. If your boat is moored & left unattended for any period of time, you need the Guardian “Boat Sentry” monitoring system Boat Sentry will monitor & notify you (& up to 3 additional persons) via SMS of any unwanted system failures while you’re away from your Boat.
The Main consideration in the development of the App was to keep it as uncomplicated as possible, (The Kiss principle) for those of us who aren’t that tech savvy whilst still retaining all the necessary features & functionality. It is a simple plug & play solution with no requirement for wiring, Hubs or Internet Connection (except for updates which can be done via hotspot to your existing mobile phone). Plug in the new mobile phone included in the kit to a 240V power point (or Inverter) on the boat, Connect the bluetooth sensors and you’re ready to go. Sound recording is required for High water, Gas, and smoke alarms if you have these but this is all done via the app. We can, if you prefer, set up the Phone with all your required information, except for the sound alarm registration which must be done by you on site as all alarms have different sounds. Boat Sentry monitors your vital systems giving you total piece of mind in the knowledge that they are working as they should be.
No nasty surprises when you get back onboard. Boat Sentry will notify you, and/or your designated contacts when any of the monitored systems go outside your set parameters allowing you to take immediate action to rectify any issue that may pose a threat to the safety of your vessel. Boat Sentry is a simple to use, cost effective, set and forget system developed by boaties for boaties. No expensive complex set up and minimal ongoing costs make it the perfect set and forget solution for anyone who wants peace of mind.
