With over 20 years of on-water experience, James Fleay brings a wealth of practical boating knowledge to Lifetime Boats. As a former superyacht captain operating throughout the world, as well as in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the South Pacific, he offers clients a unique perspective that extends well beyond traditional yacht sales.
Holding internationally recognised qualifications including MCA Master (Yachts) 3000GT and AMSA Master Class 4, James combines technical expertise with hands-on experience across a broad range of vessels, from luxury motor yachts and sportfishing boats to offshore cruisers. His professional maritime background allows him to provide valuable insight into vessel performance, capability, maintenance, and ownership.
Based on the Sunshine Coast, James specialises in both brokerage boat sales and new Pursuit Boats sales, helping clients buy and sell quality vessels throughout Queensland and Australia. He also supports Lifetime Boats’ activities across Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific Islands, assisting private owners, commercial operators, and international buyers with vessel transactions and acquisitions. Known for his honest advice, strong communication, and customer-focused approach, James is committed to making every transaction as straightforward and enjoyable as possible. From the initial enquiry and vessel inspections through to survey, sea trial, settlement, and handover, he provides professional guidance every step of the way.
