One of the ‘newer’ designed RIBS in the Waverider range, the WR 650 with polished 316 stainless steel T-Top (sun protection) with integrated stern navigation light, has quickly become a best seller.
The WR 650 adheres to a wide variety of customer needs, is popular as a family leisure RIB, but also transforms quickly into a very capable workhorse. Today the brand is actively in use in customs patrol/ protection, policing and in rescue applications worldwide.
The rounded deep ‘V’ shaped Gemini hull offers great performance, comfort and excellent handling at top speeds, especially in heavy seas. They are built using the latest technology and techniques, ensuring quality and reliability. The overall length is 6.5 metres with a width beam of 2.4 metres, and a cockpit depth of half a metre. The Waverider 650 is designed to carry 9 passengers and fitted with the 130hp outboard is capable of 37knots. A power upgrade is possible to 200hp. Complete with windscreen, stainless steel grab rail and large internal dry locker, and a cushioned bow seat on forward side of console with stainless gas struts. The design has a self draining non-slip deck with stainless large flow drains and a unique motor splash well suitable for heavy reversing and rough conditions.
The helm is fitted with flatscreen GPS chart plotter, digital engine multifunction gauges and a 13.5” premium stainless steel wheel and steering knob. Easy to maneuver, the engine is controlled with hydraulic steering and fuelled by a 140L under floor pressure tested aluminum fuel tank. Built for reliability, the Waverider comes with LED navigation lights, electrical circuits all fuse protected, internal console lighting, and stereo system with Bluetooth phone connection and twin speakers.
The twin driver bolster seat with rear facing bench seat or twin helm bolster seats make the ride comfortable for everyone onboard. There is also a full width removable forward facing lounge seat with internal dry storage and hinged back rest The hull tube material is1100 Dtex HYPERLON, featuring 5 separate air compartments complete with pressure relief valves, and heavy duty dual side rub strips. An anchor rope bow protection, aluminium keel protection, waterski towing eyes, forward and rear stainless steel towing and launching eyes, make it rugged under all usage. The customised rig can be delivered on a galvanised multiroller trailer with winch and LED lights.
