Sunseeker East Coast SHOWCASE THE MANHATTAN 68 AT THE 2022 SANCTUARY COVE BOAT SHOW

The Sunseeker Manhattan 68, has been one of the most outstandingly successful and award-winning Sunseeker models of recent times in her class. Due to the accolades this model has received for design and innovation throughout the industry, Sunseeker East Coast Australia have chosen to showcase the Manhattan 68 at the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, May 19th – 22nd.

The Manhattan 68 offers an extraordinary level of comfort and luxury with incredible detailing. Throughout the main deck, there is a strong focus on creating generous, usable social spaces. The exterior lines flow effortlessly from the Portuguese-bridge bow seating and sunbathing areas to the expansive cockpit adjoining an innovative beach club with enhanced features. Internally, the expansive main saloon benefits from sweeping glazing revealing the sea from all perspectives.

The fully-equipped aft galley with a large dinette links seamlessly to the cockpit via full-width sliding doors, helping to bring everyone together. The innovative design layout allows owners to welcome guests with a strong focus on ambient lighting and interior detailing.

Looking ahead, through to the saloon, which is naturally lit thanks to the panoramic windows, a dedicated lounging area features a large C-shaped sofa that faces a portside TV. The TV sits above a see-through base that offers guests an interesting view of the water through a window by the stairs to the master suite.

Forward of this area is raised, L-shaped companion seating opposite the double-seat helm station, both areas sitting either side of the central stairs.

Access to the spacious guest cabins is via the lower helm and elevated companion seating, while the sumptuous master cabin amidships is accessed via its very own private entrance. This exceptional layout allows the owner and guests to move effortlessly between spaces.

The three guest cabins up front comprise two large forward-facing twin cabins and a VIP stateroom in the bow with an aft-facing bed. Subtle changes to this area include a larger lobby and easier access to the day head, which is shared by the port and starboard twins. A striking change is the bathroom finishes, featuring new stones that are both stunning and practical.

The Sunseeker Manhattan 68 features a private access staircase port side to the plush, high-end full-beam master stateroom, with optional chaise lounge, sofa or breakfast table port side, an extraordinary amount of storage and a luxurious, spacious ensuite. The vast windows at the water-line allow you to feel immersed in the ocean, offering owners a peaceful and comfortable ocean front sanctuary.

The interiors boast exquisite attention to detail. A special use of wood throughout uses a mix of finishes, such as wenge satin, silver oak, smoked eucalyptus along with stainless steel contrasts and a new palate of upholstery provides a cool, crisp, and contemporary look, unmistakably that of a Manhattan.

Moving Outside. Not only does the Manhattan 68 give you a Portuguese bow boasting dining along with the sun lounges, it also features towards the transom a beach club bringing guests closer to the water, with a hydraulic door that opens to reveal a rain shower, lights and speakers, and provides storage for fenders, water toys, diving and sports equipment and seating with a foldout bench and includes a dedicated water level locker for two SeaBobs, complete with built-in charging points, delivering effortless enjoyment.

Entrance to the crew cabin, in this case the lazarette/wet room, is located next to the beach club on the transom, and features ample storage, washer/dryer and a bathroom that only enhances the practicality of the beach club area.

When you finally get past the full beam hydraulic swim platform and the amazing beach club, it’s only a few steps up to the cockpit, where a C-shaped sofa provides seating around an adjustable table that has drinks holders on each side and can fold out to become a long dining table. New for the cockpit is the sink unit, with either ice maker or refrigerator, located under the starboard stairs to the flybridge.

The flybridge was an area of considerable design focus in the Manhattan 68. This flybridge has been designed with an integrated hard-top option. The area is sheltered from the sun by the retractable shade in the hardtop. To port is a forward-facing L-shaped sofa that connects to a huge, full-beam sunbathing area that stretches right across in front of the helm, with the helm providing a double backrest. The design has left almost the entire aft half of the flybridge as open space, allowing an owner to use it to suit their needs, and with this area further sheltered by an electric rear retractable canopy. Situated behind the twin-seat helm station, the wet bar has been designed for multiple purpose and now includes an integrated storage, barbeque and refrigeration option, creating the focal point for another social and fun space onboard the Manhattan 68.

All the innovation and design Sunseeker has injected throughout the spaces of the Manhattan 68 have made it easier to enjoy being on and in the water with friends  and family. Isn’t that what boating is all about?
