This model is rated to carry 6 adults and comes standard with toughened glass cabin windows and windscreen. Measuring 6.35 meters in length and 2.35 meters in beam. There is a lot of room to have a weekend away or invite your mates onboard for a day of fishing. This well-thought-out cruiser ensures you are always having a good time on the water.
Over 70 years and three generations of experience go into the design of every Whittley boat by the Whittley family proudly designed and built in Melbourne, Victoria. The hull design allows you to walk around the side deck above the cabin to the bow. Down below utilises this additional space in the walkaround to make the berth higher and wider than most boats of this size. The entire cabin is fully lined with a high-quality plush fabric. The fill-in upholstered cushions convert the bunks into a nice big double bed. Dedicated toilet facilities are also found inside the cabin area for extra privacy.
At the helm, the sporty dash includes a Fusion stereo system, VHF radio and up to a 9-inch optional Garmin GPS/FF. The gauges are well positioned ahead of the driver in clear view. Running a circuit breaker system called a membrane control system, it connects all the boat’s components to a central computer.
The CR 2180 really is your home away from home. There is a large storage area for phones, keys and documents in front of the passenger seat area. The convertible seats with backrests fold out of the way to reveal storage and utility space. The seat base folds out to a handy galley-prep area with room for an optional 12-volt induction cooktop, ideal for cooking aboard, and a large sink for washing up on the opposite side. All these features make dinner onboard an easy-to-arrange pleasure.
The wide cockpit features large fully carpeted side pocket storage and also a large folding table that can be setup for lunch aboard or folded down to make room for a serious fishing weekend. Create a step-in and step-out of the boat, by removing the rear seats completely and you have access all the way to the transom. The transom puts you out above the water where all the action is. There is an optional U-bar designed by Whittley to assist you when fishing to attach your bait-board or BBQ to cook dinner. There is a stainless-steel boarding ladder on the transom for ease of access to and from the water, and a handy deck shower. Running around the forward seating area is a strong grab rail to hold on to if conditions get rough. All these well-thought-out features add to your comfort.
Whittley are always about the packaged models complete with luxury options, such as big volume front cabin, VHF radio and Fusion stereo and pressurised sink and rear deck shower. The CR2180 package comes with the full set of camper covers and clears to enhance its versatility and encourage families to hang out longer on the water in comfort.
The Whittley CR 2180 OB comes standard with the Mercury 135hp Four Stroke engine and can be optioned to a 150hp engine, designed for less weight and high displacement, Mercury has abundant torque and immediate power. Powered by the Mercury outboard, the Whittley comes up on to plane fast and will accelerate with outstanding throttle response, and provides optimal fuel efficiency at cruising speed.
The CR 2180 is legally trailerable so you can go boating where you want, when you want. Supplied with a dual axle Mackay trailer, boat launching and retrieval become easy with a drive-off or drive-on set up that is easily handled by one person. Optional electric winch is also available to make anchoring a breeze.
