SOUTH EAST QLD’S LARGEST OFFSHORE REGATTA!
Get ready for an exhilarating October long weekend sailing experience at Southport Yacht Club’s renowned regatta, Sail Paradise. The upcoming edition, known as the Bartercard Sail Paradise, is set to take place over three action-packed days during the October long weekend, from September 30 to October 2, 2023.
Now in its 14th regatta, Sail Paradise attracts skippers and crew from all corners of Australia to participate in this magnificent event. The regatta showcases thrilling races on the stunning ocean waters of the Gold Coast, specifically off Main Beach and Surfers Paradise. Spectators will have the opportunity to witness the captivating racing action and marvel at the vibrant colours displayed by the yachts’ diverse spinnakers, with plenty of shoreline vantage points available.
The regatta features an impressive lineup of seven divisions spread across the three-day event. These divisions include Monohull IRC/ORC, Monohull Performance Racing PHS/ORC, Monohull Cruising – Spinnaker (PHS), Monohull Cruising – Non-Spinnaker (PHS), Monohull 2 Handed Division IRC/ORC, Multihull Racing (OMR), and Multihull Cruising (PHS).

In addition to the on-water action, the Southport Yacht Club invites the Gold Coast community to join in the

Alternatively, they can secure a vantage point along the spectacular beaches, stretching from the Spit southward. At the Main Beach Clubhouse, competitors and guests can revel in the excitement of daily race results and nightly live entertainment, while indulging in the delectable food and beverage specials offered at the club’s waterfront restaurant.
