Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) has been operating for 23 years now. In that time, we have learnt a lot about what Gold Coast boaties need and want. We have lifted every conceivable boat, completed every imaginable project, and solved the most complex issues. Our team also live the lifestyle and you will often find them out on the water enjoying our great waterways.
Our goal is to get you back in the water as quickly and efficiently as possible, as no one buys a boat to just sit on a hardstand or in a marina.
MANAGING THE WORKS YOURSELF
With over 90 expert marine businesses on site, gathering quotes for a wide range of works is easy at GCCM. Superyachts, sailing, cruising, and game fishing vessels all offer their own challenges when it comes to a refit, yet GCCM offers an unrivalled array of leading contractors representing every conceivable marine trade and service.
Having all the trades in one location is massively important to the refit process, but the facility itself is also key in how efficiently a project moves forward. The GCCM facility is designed to make the refit process as simple and smooth as possible.
GCCM’s shipyard crew operates five different boat lifting machines, offering the know-how, means and versatility to haul out vessels of all shapes and sizes. Our experienced machine operators will work with you to match your boat to the best, safest and correct lifting device. GCCM’s haul out capability extends from jet skis to superyacht lifting to the hardstand, dry store, enclosed sheds, or undercover work bays.
ASK OUR PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM
We recognise that you will only entrust your ‘baby’ to certain contractors, so we welcome external trades at GCCM through our Outside Contractor program. We believe that nothing should get in the way of you doing what is best for your boat.
But sometimes you need the support of an experienced project manager. Perhaps it is a complex job, or you are busy elsewhere and want the comfort of having someone progress the project on your behalf. GCCM offers both inhouse and contractor project management services. As the boat owner, you will benefit from decades of experience and our close connections with leading trades.
Chances are, they have been there and done that.
THE PROOF IS IN THE RESULTS
But don’t just take our word for it. Here is what our clients have had to say.
“Gold Coast City Marina, in my opinion, is the best marina in the country, if not the world. We’ve got everybody here to make this whole thing happen. All the trades, all the suppliers, all the guys to drill, weld, paint, laminate, some fantastic people here at GCCM! We are very lucky to be here,” says Grant Wharington, Sydney to Hobart legend, who is transforming an 80-footer to a 100-foot Maxi at GCCM.
“The group of people that come together at GCCM are the best in the business. It’s only at GCCM that you can even dream of undertaking such a project, and the proof of the pudding is in the results.” Ned O’Neil, Owner, M/V Blue Goose.
Sailing vessels feel right at home with GCCM’s keel pit, making hardstand works safer, and the numerous trades tailored to specific vessels.
Australian Marine Enterprises (AME) specialize in a large range of refits but are known for their expertise in sailing vessels. Steve Jackson from Sail Inc is one of Australia’s most experienced sail makers and works side by side with master rigger Jason Cowling from JCMS.
