DRY DOCK TRAINING 2025

THE DM CONSULTING DRY DOCK TRAINING IS COMING TO SYDNEY AND SINGAPORE IN APRIL 2025

A collaboration with ADEC Kedge Marine Services

In April 2025, professionals in the maritime sector will have the opportunity to enhance their expertise in dry-docking operations through a 4-day in-person course held in two key locations: Singapore and Sydney. This program is the result of a strategic collaboration between marine survey and naval architecture company ADEC Kedge and training provider DM Consulting, renowned worldwide as a leading authority on the dry-docking of ships and vessels.

The dry-docking process is a critical aspect of vessel maintenance and safety. This internationally recognised course has been meticulously designed to address both the theoretical and practical aspects of dry docking, ensuring that participants are equipped with the knowledge needed to execute these complex procedures confidently and efficiently.

ADEC Kedge’s mission is to develop and offer solutions that drive organisational value and deliver impact while leading the industry toward a safer and more sustainable future.

DM Consulting co-founder and training specialist Alex Stiglich says: “From a training industry perspective, we see that very specifically where there is an accident, people will enrol in our course right after. Unfortunately, that’s how it happens.” He encourages maritime personnel to avoid potential mishaps by undertaking a dry dock training course.

WHAT THE DRY DOCK TRAINING COURSE OFFERS

The course covers the fundamentals of drydocking, with a particular focus on the mathematical calculations and engineering principles required for safe and successful operations. Participants will explore key concepts, including calculations, stability considerations, and deck plate level practical knowledge that underpins effective dry docking.

This training is internationally recognized and accredited by the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SNAME) and the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA).

Participants will be recognised with a Certificate of Completion at the completion of the training course.

WHY ATTEND A DRY DOCK TRAINING?

This course is designed not just to impart knowledge, but to build confidence in executing dry-docking operations. Attendees will benefit from the expertise of seasoned professionals, gaining insights that can be directly applied in their day-to-day roles.

The course begins with the basic principles and safety concerns and then progresses through all phases of dry-docking: preparation and planning, dry-docking, lay period, and undocking. The course concludes with a review of global incidents and lessons learned.
