FJORD ADDS 41XP TO ITS RANGE OF LUXURY DAY BOATS

The Fjord brand’s exclusive Scandinavian influence style and functionality continues to attract more enthusiastic converts here in Australia, with their numbers sure to be boosted by the release of the new Fjord 41 XP. Fjords’ signature design elements of a nearly vertical plumb bow, high freeboard, bold horizontal sheer line, frameless windshield, spacious flat deck layout and open transom are shared by the 41 XP, as well as big walk-around decks and versatile relaxing alfresco day spaces.

Equipped with twin 600hp V12 Mercury Verado outboards, the 41 XP is the first production boat to be powered by these revolutionary new duoprop outboards that feature two industry firsts – a steerable gear case and a two-speed transmission. Along with substantial weight and efficiency savings, there’s the prospect of exhilarating 45 knot performance.

A maximum draft of only 1.19 metres means the Fjord 41 XP can easily access your favourite beach or shallow anchorage. There’s excellent manoeuvrability via the joystick controller and lifting the engines allows the XP to nudge right into shore where inboard boats can’t.

Once you’re there it’s a seamless conversion to entertainer mode under the XP’s expansive T-top, the biggest in its class and a must for protection from the sun and fast-changing weather conditions.

Deck: The 41 XP’s helm station can be configured with four pilot seats. All engine and vessel performance is displayed on twin Simrad custom glass bridge 12″ screens.

There are various galley options available with BBQ grill, sink, and fridge plus more drawer fridges in the seating area. Two electrically lowerable tables can comfortably host eight people, while the large sun lounge on the aft deck offers the perfect place to dry-off after a refreshing swim. There’s also a big storage space under the electrically opening sun lounge that can be used to store water toys.

Deep walk-around side decks, a long time Fjord safety feature, lead to another large sun lounge on the foredeck that can be shaded with an awning.

Interior: With 20 layout combinations, the accommodation space on the Fjord 41 XP can be personalised to suit your individual tastes and requirements.

The Owner’s cabin can be furnished with a vanity or desk and can be closed and completely darkened with a soundproof sliding door that is recessed into the bulkhead to save space. The Owner’s cabin, Owner’s bathroom and the optional guest cabin enjoy lots of natural light thanks to the large hull windows. A galley or a second toilet are also possible.

The interior is offered in four different design styles, each with an understated elegant colour palette and a selection of high-quality fabrics, woods, and colours.

The Fjord 41 XP and the Fjord 41 XL represent a new generation of Fjord boats that lift this iconic brand to the next level in style, luxury and practical entertaining space. The first Fjord 41 XL powered by a pair of Yanmar 370hp V8 sterndrives and capable of reaching 33 knots, was recently handed over to new owners in Sydney where its stunning dark blue hull (the colour is Royal Nights) turns heads wherever it goes.

The 41 XP joins a range of dayboats recognised for their substance and style designed by Patrick Banfield and incorporating clever modular seating layouts for the cockpit and cabin that maximise space and comfort.

The sumptuous 53 XL, launched at last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival is the flagship of the Fjord fleet, followed by the 44 Coupe, 44 Open, 41 XP, 41 XL, 38 Xpress and 38 Open.

Every model boasts spectacular one-level boating lifestyle amenities with high-quality Scandinavian influenced interiors and are certain to impress.

Windcraft Yachts are the exclusive dealer for Fjord in Australia and New Zealand and will be located on the marina at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
