This year’s Marina Industries Association (MIA) Marina of the Year Awards hosted at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia in Sydney proved a great success with the top marinas and marine businesses recognised for excellence and leadership in the marina industry.

The scene was set as the industry’s best gathered to celebrate the exciting innovations and success stories across their businesses MIA CEO Suzanne Davies said she looks forward to the awards every year “I am astounded by the increase of quality put on display by marinas and marina businesses, whether that be the facilities, new innovations, customer service, and so on,” Davies said.

This year’s awards attracted record entries in many categories with finalists gathering from around the world including Asia, the Pacific and Australia. “This is a celebration of all entrants and finalists who strive to continue to lift the bar and drive industry standards ever higher” – Lyndon Turner, CEO of event ma or sponsor Nautilus Marine Insurance (NMI).

One such marina leading the way is Marina Mirage Marina, being crowned this year’s prestigious Marina of the Year (under 140 boats) In accepting the award, Marina Manager Luke McCaul took to the stage taking the time to recognise the support of his team and the vision of asset owner, Makris Group.
