I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW BOAT, AND IT IS PAYING ITSELF OFF!!
In 2018, I went to the Sydney International Boat Show with the dream of buying a boat. However, I was faced with the reality that I couldn’t afford the initial outlay nor the ongoing expenses associated with boat ownership.
Whilst walking around the show, I bumped into the guys from Book My Boat who had just launched a boat hire marketplace that operates in a similar manner to AirBnB and Camplify.
Book My Boat addressed all of my concerns like was I able to choose who hires my boat and what my boat’s availability would be. They also gave me details about their rental insurance that covers the boat in case a hire customer damages it during a hire.
With a new-found source of income to offset my boat ownership costs, I bit the bullet and purchased my dream boat, the Bar Crusher 615 bow rider. I picked the boat up in late November 2018, and we’ve had some awesome days out fishing and throwing the kids out on the donuts and knee boards.
