These current 115HP and 140HP in-line four-cylinder models offer simplified rigging across a wide range of boats. With their silky-smooth shifting, instant throttle response, enhanced performance, and outstanding fuel efficiency, these outboards ensure the same reliability and precision control that Suzuki’s drive-by- wire technology is known for across its 150HP to 350HP models.
The DF115BG and DF140BG go beyond basic features. With a compression ratio of 10.6:1, these 2.0-litre displacement outboards are engineered to deliver top speed and acceleration by maximising thermal efficiency. They are also designed for fuel efficiency, with tests showing the DF140BG to be 5% to 7% more efficient across mid-range to high-speed cruising, while the DF115BG offers up to 6% better fuel economy at cruising speeds compared to earlier models.
Both outboards come equipped with a powerful 40-amp alternator, providing optimal charging performance even at low idle speeds—ideal for today’s power-hungry fishing boats that spend extended time trolling. The sporty and streamlined exterior design complements a variety of boats, including centre consoles, flats skiffs, pontoon boats, and bass boats. Available in 20-inch (L) and 25-inch (X) shaft lengths, the DF115BG and DF140BG are perfect for a wide range of fresh and saltwater vessels. These models also come in Suzuki’s classic Pearl Nebular Black or the striking Super Cool White.
Additionally, both outboards feature a redesigned cowl with an improved air intake system that enhances water separation and a silencer-resonator system that reduces engine noise, ensuring a smooth and quiet boating experience at any speed.
For ease of maintenance, Suzuki has designed these models with a convenient oil filter replacement system—simply remove the upper engine cover to access the filter. The built-in Oil Spill Catcher prevents messes, and the Water Detection Fuel Filter is easily accessible, helping protect the engine from contaminated fuel.
