Windcraft Queensland Manager Gavin Ward believes the 280’s obvious all-round appeal which includes options for fishing rod-holders and a tow bar for water sports, will make it a popular choice to explore the state’s huge lattice of waterways.

“Queensland has lots of great boating destinations,” he agrees. “Even here on the Gold Coast and further north to Moreton Bay, there are plenty to choose from; Tangalooma, Peel Island, Moreton Island, Dux Anchorage, Tipplers, Canaipa and many more.

“But there are quite big distances involved. The Ryck 280 is positioned to get you to any of these places quickly and yet transforms into a chic day boat for entertaining, enjoying a BBQ or taking a swim. Then, back home in super quick time.”

Gavin also points out the RYCK 280 offers a choice of deck layouts that can make the boat the exact fit for your boating requirements.

The base version of the boat completely maximises deck space, taking full advantage of the 280’s stepless cockpit as the largest in its class with great ergonomics. Add options such as teak on the walk around decks, an L- shaped lounge that converts into a large sun pad, wet bar and grill shaded by a T-top and awnings and you have a perfect platform to enjoy lazy afternoons in the Queensland sun. Dry off on the large swim platform after a shower with hot and cold water. Then after sunset, relax around the crafted dining table checking out the marine life attracted by underwater lights.

The helm station is equipped with two extremely comfortable chairs and a state-of-the-art touchscreen. Glass bridge technology makes it easy to operate all features and provides a quick overview of battery levels and key operating data. The RYCK 280 is comfortable to drive, both sitting and standing, with ample arm and legroom.

Below deck on the RYCK 280 is a luxurious, light-flooded cabin with a generous double V berth , ample storage space and a bathroom with good headroom, high-quality sink and vanity. A large window keeps the space ventilated.
