There’s a new option for people looking for elegant, versatile day boating – the European-designed and built Sirocco 730i.
The 7.3-metre Sirocco 730i is an inboard diesel day boat with seating for up to 10 people, ideally suited to Australian waterways, from Sydney Harbour, Pittwater and the Hawkesbury to Port Phillip Bay and the Gold Coast Broadwater and canals.
With her distinctive navy-blue hull and tan bimini for protection against the elements, she’s as attractive as she is sturdy. The swim platform provides ease of access and can be used for sunbathing and watersports. The cockpit gate leads to a well-appointed interior, complete with steering console with convenient toilet/storage space, plus the option for an additional cooler and a kitchenette.

Extremely comfortable and stable with a deep-V hull to handle all conditions, the Sirocco 730i delivers speed when it’s required, powered by either Vetus 52hp for a top speed of 12 knots, or Yanmar 110hp to reach 20 knots.
Other standard features include a stainless-steel swim ladder, hydraulic steering, bowthruster, and zipper front window in the sprayhood.
In Sydney, the Sirocco 730i was chosen by the Royal Motor Yacht Club Point Piper, joining the Club’s hire fleet in August and proving popular among Members.
According to RMYC General Manager, Jason Leven, the boat’s classic profile turns heads on the marina and on the Harbour. “We get people having lunch at the restaurant coming down to the marina and asking about it, then hiring it for a nice family day on the water.
“It’s the perfect day boat. You can pick up some takeaway from the Club, or bring your own, then set off around Sydney Harbour and explore all the bays and inlets.”
