Fresh from exhibiting at the 2023 Sydney International Boat Show, BRIG Boats have made a welcome return after a one-year hiatus due to war in Ukraine.
“BRIG is back, and people are excited about it,” said Neil Webster, Managing Director of Sirocco Marine, distributor for BRIG in Australia.
“Perseverance, tenacity and defiance are characteristic of the Ukraine spirit. We have been importing BRIG to Australia since 2006 and have been recognised as the Global Dealer of the Year for several consecutive years.
“The founders of BRIG are our friends and we are very, very pleased they are safe, well and continue to manufacture the world’s leading RIBs with even more determination and innovation.”
BRIG enjoyed 70 percent market share in Australia prior to the Russian invasion. “BRIG owners tell us they are sincerely happy BRIG’s factory is back in production. They are already looking at upgrading. It’s a great brand and quality product.”
2023-4 models include the BRIG Eagle 8, Eagle 670 and Eagle 4 which are in stock, with more arriving in time for summer. Sirocco Marine is taking pre-orders on the exciting new BRIG Eagle 10, which will arrive in early 2024.
“It will be the first of the new generation of Eagle 10, a large, sporty boat that makes the ideal for sailing clubs, pro or amateur anglers, scuba diving and much more. Then there’s the Zodiac Open line, which is a multi-activity range of RIBs for all kinds of watersports, or simply picnicking. Zodiac is the pioneer of the Rigid Inflatable Boat,” states Ryan Slater, Director of Sirocco Marine Queensland, located in a superyacht shed at Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard.
“We have every model in the Zodiac range from the 4.2-metre to the 9-metres, including all the options and engines, so that owners can be on the water within days,” he says.
Sirocco Marine supply and fit engines by Honda, Yamaha and Mercury and have close connections to their service technicians.
“We are about to receive containers of BRIG and Zodiac Boats in time for summer. We can’t wait to show Gold Coasters the amazing choice available in RIBs.”
