Like so many things, the 2021 debut of the Sunseeker Manhattan 55 was overshadowed by the pandemic. Sunseeker East Coast are showcasing the Manhattan 55 and giving you 5 reasons to love the Sunseeker Manhattan 55. With two new Manhattan 55s arriving in Australia within the next 6 months, it’s time to get familiar!
Carbon fibre and stainless-steel elements sure make the model easy on the eyes, but there’s more to Sunseeker Manhattan 55 than just good looks. The cockpit is pure joy, intelligently innovative – the galley is left in the saloon and only separated from the cockpit by a glass panel that can be lowered by pressing a single button, turning this area into a little bar with two bar seats. This popular part of the interior thus becomes even more useful, especially since the builders have included a small wine cooler, making this the perfect spot for an al fresco breakfast or a cooling glass of wine at sunset.
Front left in the salon there is a U-shaped sofa served by a dining table that seats six, and behind the skipper’s seat there’s more seating space. The command post has two seats and two multi-functional screens, all commands and a joystick. The saloon is well lit by natural light, as well as by strategically spaced LED lights that add to the overall mood and come in two color schemes. Carefully selected fabrics and materials, as well as four types of wood – satin wenge, silver oak, smoked eucalyptus and walnut – give the new Sunseeker Manhattan 55 a hefty dose of luxury.
The new Sunseeker has three lovely cabins, with the full-beam master aft. The VIP is in the bow, and the third cabin is a double, starboard. The luxurious interior is well balanced by the equally impressive exterior.
On the vast hardtop flybridge, forward, there is a large sunpad and the command post opposite the helm has ample seating and behind the wetbar with fridge, icemaker, sink and optional grill, while aft there is the large dining table.
The submersible hydraulic platform aft, along with the transom beach club, make it easy to enjoy summer water sports, making this an outstanding part of the deck, while another is the bow sunpad and dining area.
Powered by Volvo Penta D13-800 engines, the Manhattan 55 can cruise comfortably at 25 knots with a range of 230 nautical miles or achieve in excess of 30 knots at full throttle.
5 REASONS TO LOVE THE SUNSEEKER MANHATTAN 55
Elegant Exterior Profile
The Manhattan 55 is truly remarkable in so many ways – with an exterior profile that achieves the perfect balance between style, function and form; it just doesn’t get any better. Its beautifully proportioned lines are reflected in its striking hull glazing that echoes a modern design aesthetic complimented by carbon fibre air intakes, practical, lightweight and dynamic.
Private Beach Club
The Manhattan 55 features its own Beach Club and extended bathing platform, a fabulous feature on a Sunseeker boat of this size. The full-beam hydraulic platform benefits from an integrated overhead shower, optional barbeque, and fold-down transom seating for owner and guests to enjoy.
Voluminous Flybridge
The exciting Flybridge boasts generous dining and sunbathing capacity. The spacious dining area comfortably sits upto six people, complete with a bimini or fixed hardtop with retractable sunroof, depending on owner preference. Additional features include a wet bar, surround sound speakers, and further seating at the helm and bow. Perfect for intimate gatherings or spectacular celebrations.
Smooth Cruising
The Manhattan 55 enjoys a next-generation Volvo Penta D13 800 engine. As a result, the boat runs smoothly at a cruising speed of 25 knots, even with the added weight of owner equipment and toys. The Manhattan 55 becomes an agile force on the water, providing efficiency and flexibility to meet owner requirements, wherever they cruise.
Considered Interiors
The next generation of Manhattan boats house significant updates to the interior. Excelling in areas of practicality, finish, and detail, the Manhattan 55 enjoys striking feature lighting, smart storage solutions both on-deck and inside, an ingenious space-maximising design layout, and fully customisable furniture selections to suit owner needs. Everything from plumped cushions sat atop luxurious bed linens to hand-stitched upholstery offer an abundance of comfort on-board.
With the option to add bar stools, the galley appears to extend onto the main deck, ready for the owner to enjoy a cocktail shaken or stirred. A seamless transition from indoors to out, the Manhattan 55’s considered design provides the owner with flexibility to use their yacht however they wish.
