SUZUKI MARINE – ELECTRONIC THROTTLE AND SHIFT SYSTEMS

Suzuki Marine strives to lead the marine industry with award-winning technology and products designed to make boating more enjoyable for all.

For 2022, Suzuki’s electronic throttle and shift systems, collectively known as Suzuki Precision Control (S.P.C), receive their first full model redesign since introduction.

The second-generation controls boast modernised styling and are available in single-lever binnacle, dual-lever binnacle, and single-lever flush mount configurations. These new controls now feature integrated “SELECT” and “THROTTLE ONLY” switches and an integrated emergency-stop tether switch (single-lever flush mount control only), negating the need for boat control panels for single outboard applications, saving precious space in the cockpit.

This intelligent system allows for the synchronised control of up to six outboards using a single binnacle lever. This includes the flexibility of having one lever controlling one outboard, one lever controlling multiple outboards (“1 LEVER” switch available on dual-lever binnacle) or two levers independently controlling multiple engines for docking, putting a boat on the trailer or other close-quarter manoeuvring.

From the first start until the end of the day, Suzuki’s new integrated push button starting makes boating a breeze. With the shift position in neutral, the skipper can start from one to six engines using a single key. One push of the integrated control box button will start the engines in order from port to starboard and one further push is all that’s required to stop them all simultaneously.

Boaters can enhance their experience further by combining their new 2022 S.P.C outboard motor with Suzuki’s latest SMG4 Multi-Function Gauge and take advantage of the new ‘Auto Trim’ setting, which automatically adjusts Power Trim and Tilt settings to a pre-set position when the boat reaches planing speed.
