Flying The Flag for Gold Coast in Florida – ROD TWITCHIN MARINE

After a journey spanning almost 30 hours, RTM successfully arrived at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) in late October.

The extensive travel proved worthwhile as it provided an opportunity to reconnect with current colleagues and, equally importantly, to meet with many world renowned industry leaders in yacht construction and brokerages.

Engaging with industry professionals, RTM proudly, offered its professional services within the southern region. This outreach was well received, particularly by those familiar with Australia, as the region continues to attract international yachts. The interactions included a meeting with Mr. Luca Gazzotti, the Global Technical Support & Warranty Manager for the Ferretti Group, to discuss RTM’s past relationship with the group and explore future collaborations.

Attending FLIBS for the first time since 2016, the experience did not disappoint. The show featured a plethora of yachts of various configurations and power sources, along with displays showcasing the latest technology in yacht systems and accessories. Notably, the Superyacht Village had been relocated to Pier 66 to accommodate the modern superyachts, as the sheer size of some would block the main channel if moored ‘stern to’ in the main marina.

Following FLIBS, RTM embarked on a tour of the Florida Keys, Miami, and California, establishing new relationships with industry colleagues along the way. A highlight of the trip was meeting Mr. @ wavy_boats during a visit to Haulover Inlet, Miami.

As an on-site service provider at The Boat Works, boasting 5 Gold Anchor and Superyacht Ready certifications, RTM stands as the ideal collaborator for marine professional services during yard periods.
