Boats International, formerly Sanctuary Cove Boat Sales, have relocated from Sanctuary Cove to headquarter their on-water display at Gold Coast City Marina (GCCM). Now located on the H-Arm of the marina, the team represents new brands including Island Gypsy, Focus, Hurricane Deck Boats, Powerplay Catamarans, as well as a wide range of high-quality, pre-owned vessels.
According to Grant Flanagan, the move was fortuitous, as they are now ideally positioned to capture new and used boat buyers. “Gold Coast City Marina is Asia Pacific’s most comprehensive and awarded refit and repair facility, attracting yachts from around the globe,” he explains. “This gives us a huge advantage, bringing a wide range of vessels to our doorstep so we can find the perfect boats for our clients. With over 80 trades on-site, we are able to provide not only our experience helping you buy or sell your vessel but also with after sales service, maintenance and refit work.”

“Our brokerage division is doing very well, buoyed by an increased interest in getting into boating,” shares Grant. “Because of restrictions with international travel, people are turning to boating for their leisure time and holidays. Most of our recent boat sales have been to buyers who have a very similar mindset and have chosen to buy a boat and holiday around their local waterways, or to travel the coast and explore for a few weeks at a time. We have sold several boats to interstate clients as well, using video walkthroughs and online presentations of the boats.”

Newport Range. The popular 460 twin-cabin as well as the brand new 400n will be unveiled at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 20-23 May 2021. New release, Island Gypsy 40 features twin cabins plus a convertible bed in the saloon, offering accommodation for up to 7 guests. The Island Gypsy 46 with the two-cabin layout suits cruising families seeking an economical and feature-filled motor yacht. “After more than 30 years in the boating business, we have analysed the servicing cost of boats,” says Brett Flanagan. “Boating should be low-maintenance and pleasurable. With Island Gypsy, we have sought to minimise the cost of ownership and make boating a breeze.”
SAXDOR. An exciting new brand to the Boats International range is the Finnish marque, Saxdor, starting with the Sport 200 model, and to be followed by the innovative Saxdor 320 GTO with its cantilevered side terraces. Saxdor 320 GTO is the second model in a new range from the Finnish company Saxdor Yachts. There will be three separate models on the 32ft platform, but it is the GTO, with a T-top and walk-around decks that will arrive first. All three versions share exquisite design, fast, powerful outboard performance, and a refined, economical hull shape. Maximum power will be delivered by twin 300 hp Mercury engines, while the single V8 engine with 300 hp is estimated to have a 38-knot top speed with cruising speed close to 30 knots.
