C Worthy Marine: Home of Bayliner

Bayliner have been in the Queensland market for over 20 years and in that time has been responsible for putting many new owners into their first boat with the iconic Bayliner 175 leading the field in usability, space and comfort in a compact trailerable boat. Fast forward to 2016 and a raft of changes are slated for the brand with a change in direction that many won’t have seen coming.

This coming May, Bayliner will release their first true fishing boat with the launch of the F18. Built on the same platform as the innovative and stable Element XL, the F18 is a versatile centre console that blends affordability and fish-ability without sacrificing usability. From the standard finishes including stainless steering wheel and rod storage for 6 rods, to the internal design and space available, everything onboard the F18 is aimed at fishermen and families who will appreciate the Bayliner pedigree.

Also scheduled for release in 2016 is the VR Series. The 6.20 metre VR5 builds on Bayliner’s proven V-bottom runabout heritage, while adding even more space forward. The boat carries the full 8 feet of beam further forward in the boat than ever before with a new bow design. The self-bailing cockpit features Bayliner’s new Aft Advantage™ design that increases the aft seating area. The standard integrated swim platform and optional platform extension are positioned further aft than comparable models adding interior space while providing the ideal staging area for water sports.

Its big brother, the VR6, a 6.8m boat, is also due in 2016. It is built with the same philosophy of the VR5 but adds extra comfort with the addition of a toilet.

Across the smaller end of the range, outboard power has been embraced with 160 and 170 outboard models also receiving a refresh. Outboard power is hugely popular in Australia and the addition of Mercury powered Bayliner runabouts only adds to their appeal.

South Eastern Queensland is no doubt a boating mecca with access to cruising and fishing waters close by. With a new suite of models all ideally suited to the Australian lifestyle, Bayliner are well positioned to continue to deliver first class boating experiences that cover the entire boating spectrum.
