Travel autonomously – Under the right conditions, the production of solar, wind or water-power can provide optimum autonomy for an extended stay in an idyllic anchorage. While managing green energy production, the system automatically overrides the combustion engine to ensure the battery pack has a minimum charge level and recharges as required.
The most advanced solution on the market – In conjunction with over 70 engineers, Fountaine Pajot has developed an in-house solution that is 100% customised to the use of its catamarans. As a result, it is now the only Shipyard to control all research and development processes internally, without any dependence on engine brands.
LFP Lithium batteries – Fountaine Pajot has chosen to equip its electric catamarans with LFP Lithium batteries. This technology has increased stability and resistance to the elements, and unlike other types of lithium battery, it does not require a cooling system.
Smart Electric© motors – The electric motors are designed for a longer life expectancy, less maintenance and greater reliability. The Smart Electric© solution guarantees a minimum speed of 4 knots if there are very low battery levels and strong winds.
If you want to reduce your carbon footprint while ensuring maximum cruising autonomy, Fountaine Pajot offers the option of equipping this catamaran with technology that produces renewable energy, both when sailing and at anchor.
Solar panels – Designed to blend perfectly with the design of your Fountaine Pajot electric catamaran, the 400 to 2,000 Wc solar panels (depending on the size of model) can provide excellent energy production all day long, to power the equipment needed for life onboard.
Hydro-generators – Fitted with two propellers, this catamaran will be able to produce energy under sail, delivering almost 1 Kw per propeller at an average speed of 8 knots. With the Smart Electric© system, you can control the hydro generation at the click of a button.
Wind turbines – Installed at the stern of this catamaran, the wind turbines help capitalise on another natural source of energy while cruising: the wind. Day or night, two propellers can produce an output of 600 watts per hour.
