INNOVATIVE OKEAN 80 – STRIKING DESIGN WITH FOLDOUT BALCONIES

Offering a unique, modern, and striking design, with large windows, creating multiple living spaces, and its fuel-efficient semi-displacement hull, Okean 80 yachts are designed to provide a unique experience while at sea.

The Okean 80 is manufactured by a Brazil-based shipyard, focused on innovation that always keeps design, safety, and ease-of-use in mind. The open areas allow the yacht to become part of the environment, while the aft areas integrate the yacht and the sea, as if this were a natural extension of the vessel. The wide windows, fold-down hydraulic bulwarks on the sides, as well as the transformer platform transom, create spaces in which the threshold between the interior and the exterior becomes inconspicuous.

The main deck is all on the same level, merging the salon and aft deck, which gives an even greater feeling of spaciousness once the sliding glass doors are fully open. The aft deck offers a lounge with a dining table and access to the stern from both sides. In this space, a beach club can be set up, something rarely seen on yachts in this size range. A rear door opens to reveal a sofa and two armchairs, which can accommodate guests in this area, and this same door still serves as a cover for those who prefer not to be under direct sunlight. Towards the bow, the wide walkways offer safety while walking around the yacht. The front area of Okean 80 has another inviting space for lounging or even for a more relaxed lunch under a large bimini as upon request.

Of all of the external areas, one of the biggest highlights of the yacht is certainly the huge flybridge; it has a total width of the beam and a generous 48.5m. It emphasizes the Okean 80’s open-air philosophy and can be divided into five separate areas, with a large lounging area, a full wet bar with sink and refrigerator, a large, covered dining table, and the central helm station towards the bow. On the flybridge, there are also three adjustable helm seats. To the front of the vessel, there is another spacious solarium to sunbathe and enjoy the day.

The main salon is a special part of the yacht, because, in addition to providing a 360° view, it can also be customised to the owner’s taste. The arrangement admits several forms, bringing the chairs to the outside for example, creating another comfortable and cozy atmosphere in the balconies. Different owners have different needs. With that in mind, Okean 80 was designed so that it can have a 3- or 4-cabin layout.

In addition to all the design details, Okean also focused on all the technology embedded in the 80-foot yacht, ranging from the construction of the hull, and the chosen propulsion, to the navigation equipment. Okean’s hull is designed with the Dual Mode system, which allows a smooth transition between displacement, rapid displacement, and planing modes. State-of-the-art raw materials, such as Kevlar and carbon fibre, provide resistance to the hull and also reduce fuel consumption.

The Okean 80 has a fantastic navigation, extremely solid and steady, and can sail at 26 knots at full speed. The yacht is equipped with twin MAN 1550 HP engines, and according to the shipyard, at a speed of 18 knots, it has a range of 300 nautical miles. To further improve vessel stability, Okean 80 is equipped with a Seakeeper gyro stabiliser. The vessel has a 23.9-meter overall length, and 6.05-meter beam (not counting the folding bulwarks), and can carry 5740 litres of fuel, making it ideal for leisure cruising.
