A year on from the completion of the $100 million marine infrastructure expansion at The Boat Works, the world-class facilities additional investment representing $30million is now set to launch the new Stage 3 ‘Services & Trades hub’ accommodating marine professionals within 10 new factories, offices and workshops.
The precinct has already attracted tenants eager for state-of-the-art facilities and are expanding their workforce to cater to demand.
With more than 5,000 boat movements out of the facility per year, 2021 has certainly started a new era. Lifting the standards with service, world-class facilities, and the acquisition of the Gold Coast’s largest boat lift at 300 tonnes, boosting the sites capacity along with diversity.
The latest expansion works to the comprehensive site is the final build for tenancies onsite across the two yards. This new offer will enhance the choice and transparency with over 100 marine trade professionals on-site for Captain and Owners’ access. And while demand is high, there are opportunities for new marine trades to join this thriving yard.
The Boat Works is the product of the vision and investment of owner Tony Longhurst, who has created the largest marine facility in the southern hemisphere with a staggering footprint of 55 acres, across two haul-out facilities.
