Okean Yachts made a stunning impression at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show through their Australian distributor, Nautical Imports. The event was marked by a vibrant launch party called Festa Brazileira, organised by Chris Zois and Ben Fabretto, directors of Nautical Imports, along with Luis Henrique “Ike” Ferreira, the commercial director from OKEAN headquarters. The launch party featured samba dancing, capoeira demonstrations, and traditional Brazilian cocktails and canapes, creating a dazzling spectacle to celebrate the arrival of a truly unique yacht.
Manufactured in Brazil, OKEAN Yachts seamlessly combines the best of Italian design, German engineering, and pioneering concepts to create an extraordinary on-water experience. The standout features of OKEAN motor yachts include expandable hull balconies, which can nearly double the exterior deck space at the push of a button, and the 360-degree views from the saloon that provide unobstructed sight lines from every angle for guests to enjoy.
The 52 Fly, an ideal blend of aesthetics and performance, is a three-cabin motor yacht that surpasses its competitors in many ways. Its cantilevered balconies can be folded out to extend the beam by 1.8 meters, allowing guests to get closer to the water and enjoy the panoramic views from all sides. The saloon boasts large windows, a wraparound windshield, and sliding glass doors, providing breathtaking panoramic views. The social aspect of this boat is enhanced by an L-shaped lounge adjacent to the helm, a dining table, and an entertainment unit with a retractable 50-inch flatscreen TV.
The well-equipped galley is conveniently positioned for easy access from the saloon and aft deck, which features a dining table and seating, as well as a docking station on the starboard side. An electric awning on the cockpit roof can be used to shade the majority of the swim platform and lazarette. The lazarette itself is spacious and houses all the water toys and gear, with enough room for the tender on the generously-proportioned swim platform.
The flybridge is truly spectacular, offering lounge seating, a dining table, a bar, a sink, and an icemaker. The upper helm is equipped with Garmin navigation equipment, CZone digital switching, and iPad control as standard. On the foredeck, there is a dinette and sunpads, accompanied by a bimini for protection and privacy if desired.
Below decks, a spiral staircase leads to three luxurious cabins that provide different aspects and experiences, accommodating up to seven guests. The full-beam master cabin includes a private ensuite, while the two guest cabins, one double and one with a Pullman berth, share a bathroom.
In terms of performance, the OKEAN 52 Fly exhibits the characteristics of planing boats, making navigation easier and more enjoyable. The boat offers excellent fuel efficiency and can reach speeds of up to 26 knots, thanks to its semi-slip hull design, which combines the benefits of a planing hull without the associated costs. The Volvo IPS800 pod drive system with DPS and assisted docking allows for effortless maneuvering, and the boat can cruise at just over 19 knots at 3000 rpm. To ensure stability and comfort for guests at anchor or underway, an installed Seakeeper 6 provides exceptional stability.
