Privilège Catamaran

A PROMISE TO DELIVER SOMETHING OUTSTANDING

Privilège are clearly not like other catamaran builders. This is not a shipyard building by numbers on a relentless production line. Instead, the famous yard is creating an exclusive number of stunningly finished, incredibly strong yachts, with comfort, safety, and performance in their DNA.

The Privilège name is one of the world’s most respected among catamaran builders, and new models come with a heritage and pedigree that speaks for itself. The new Signature 510 and 580 catamarans have certainly impressed the market, with Privilège’s designer Marc Lombard evolving the principles of functional and stylish design to give modern owners an outstandingly capable yacht, with no bounds to comfort, performance, or the yachtsman’s ambitions.

Every Privilège yacht is the product of a joint venture between the shipyard and the owner, and this is no less true of these latest models. Their philosophy of collaboration means connecting customers with the team of Privilège craftspeople to genuinely combine the client’s ideas and the shipyard’s extensive know-how. Much more than simply choosing fabric colours and wood finishes, the Privilège approach is about the creative magic that takes place when a client sketches out their wishes and the Privilège experts find new solutions drawn from their experience and skills.

For the entertainer, the Signature 580 features a spectacular forward lounge, accessed directly from the saloon which, coupled with the stunning flybridge lounge, offers some unparalleled relaxing environments. Meanwhile the full-beam master suite aboard the Privilège Signature 510 provides unrivalled space for a private sanctuary. The large island bed, great ventilation, and natural light create a retreat area that will enhance your life aboard. As with all Privilège catamarans, you can bring your own design ideas to customize the yacht to your personal taste.

For the explorers, whose ambitions lie in venturing to distant horizons, no matter what the conditions may throw at them, these blue water catamarans are equally well prepared. As Privilège catamarans across their range are available with robust shaft drive installations rather than the typical sail drives, every consideration has been given to reliability and easy maintenance in remote locations. Protection from the elements when you need it is readily available too; the 510 helm features a hard dodger which can be fully enclosed, while the large cockpit is protected by a hardtop that extends right back to the aft platform. With the strength and short-handed line management systems inherent to the Privilège principles, owners of both models will have every confidence to explore the most remote corners of the world.

Short-handed sailing is the norm for a liveaboard cruiser. This is the reason that the Signature 510 and 580 have been designed with an intelligent sail management system that allows you to trim and adjust your sails without ever leaving the helm. Single line reefing, main halyard, main sheet, genoa sheets, and downhaul are led to two electric winches right at the helm. The genoa is also easily controlled with the standard electric furling system.

Storage capacity is essential either for extended time aboard, or for truly impressive hospitality. A floor-to ceiling pantry and large capacity fridge and freezer, in addition to a well-appointed galley with plenty of cupboards and counter space, are just a start. Equally important are spaces to store wet or bulky items such as fenders and additional sails. There’s even a dedicated location for an easy-to-deploy life raft in the cockpit that doesn’t interfere with the flow of crew and guests during their time aboard.

With the popularity of heavier, centre console tenders, the ability to easily launch and raise your dinghy becomes critical to any sailor. The electrical pendular system on the Signature 510 is designed to the security of resting the dinghy directly on the vessel’s aft deck. The 580 goes a step further, with a hydraulic lowering tender and swimming platform, to make your time at anchor as relaxing, safe, and enjoyable as can be imagined.

The real reason experienced, and well-researched, customers come to Privilège is because they want a yacht that will stand the test of time. They want a boat that will still be turning heads and effortlessly allowing their owners to make the very most of their stunning craft in 10 years’ time, and for 10 years after that. The Signature 510 and Signature 580 will, without doubt, satisfy that need.
